Opening day April 22, 2025
My name is Bev Stutzman, and I’ve had a lifelong dream of owning and operating my own greenhouse. I studied the horticulture and floriculture trade at Cliff Mann Floral School in Denver, CO. Improved on my skills as an employee at a local greenhouse and nursery in Grand Island, owned a small town fresh-cut floral shop, developing a deep love for the art of nurturing nature along the way. So, when I discovered three greenhouses for sale near Humphrey, NE, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to fulfill my purpose and pursue my passion.
After expressing my genuine interest to the seller, he quickly agreed, saying, “It’s yours.”

Here’s what happened next:
I texted the kids: “Just got home and told Dad I bought three greenhouses. ;o) ” I said to him, “I hope you’re ready to go into the greenhouse business for the next 20 years!” He responded, “I am, gladly.”
Next step—what to name the business? After tossing around many ideas, we finally settled on The Farmhouse Greenery.
Then came Phase 1 of the process. Danielle captured the entire journey, and I’m so thankful she did. There was so much fun, hard work, and learning along the way. Hopefully you enjoy watching as we progress through the process!
I’m deeply grateful to the family members who have unconditionally put in countless hours, shared their talents, and eagerly gone along for the ride as we embarked on this new chapter!
Stay tuned for Phase Two!
